In preparation for launching a new RACHEL-Pi 2 in Spanish, we've had some heavy activity over at our github repo. Here are some highlights:
- new hands-free installer
- updated OS, new KA Lite
- new Kiwix system with automatic zim detection
- new content admin (sorting, hiding, and web-based shutdown!)
- improved file sharing
There's also been some great module improvements over at our module repository. The zim-based modules (most things with "wiki" in the title) can now be installed as easily as any other module. We've added the enormously illustrated WikiHow in Spanish, which is our first module to include Spanish-aware full-text search. And we've tidied up module creation with a new module-template repo.
Overall, it just seems like we're entering a golden time for progress with RACHEL Development. There's so much to do and we're just digging in. It's a great time to get involved!

I wanted to make sure you’d heard of http://lifehacker.com/fullpageos-automatically-boots-your-raspberry-pi-into-a-1779862376 which is a means of rapidly setting up subsidiary computers to boot up and connect directly, via wifi, to a main computer, such as a RACHEL Pi. This sounds like something you could use to quickly set up a classroom.
